Job Description

    
This is shift work, with rotating shifts.          
The job requires the operation and maintenance of various types of
equipment.
       
Work is performed both indoors & outdoors and is subject to
extremes of weather and outdoor pests, e.g., heat, cold, rain, insects, snakes,
poison ivy, etc.
       
Some heavy lifting and climbing is required, and the employee may be
exposed to dirt, grease, diesel fuel, gasoline, oil, paint, etc.
        
The job requires the maintenance of various written records, e.g.,
time cards, equipment maintenance logs, fuel records, productivity charts, etc.
       
The job requires participation in the housekeeping functions of
the facility including sweeping the concrete surfaced work areas, cleaning tool
rooms, cleaning shop facilities, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning truck scale, etc.

Personal protective equipment (Hardhat, safety glasses, hearing
protection, etc.) is provided and its use is MANDATORY. (Steel-toed boots
are required and a stipend will be issued for their purchase)
    
Safety is of the utmost importance, and safety rules MUST be
followed.

The normal workweek is 8-10 hours per day Monday – Friday, but it is
extended when necessary. Weekend work is required. The workweek is
subject to rescheduling on short notice when required.

Qualifications


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have three (3) years manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly.
  • Heavy equipment experience is preferred.
  • Must be trainable in safety, and quality work processes.
  • Must be able to work extended hours (11-12 hours per day) and/or weekends with
    short notice and holidays when required.
  • Must be able to be called in for emergency work, and must have a phone number
    on record where he/she can be reached quickly.
  • Must be a team player and work well with other personnel.
  • Must possess a valid driver license.
  • Must be an advocate of safety in the workplace.
  • Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Must be able to pass a cutting and welding assessment.
