Job Description

The Electrical Engineering Technician II will provide controls engineering support to assigned product lines. The key customers are the Process Centered Owner, manufacturing, purchasing and vendors, Technical Service Team, Field Service, and our end customers. The successful Electrical Engineering Technician II will primarily focus on electrical engineering design, programming for logic controllers and visualization interface, and technical support.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with PCOs to maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design and control program that complies with established Evergreen and industry standards. 
  • Work with controls engineers to design electrical cabinets, schematics and program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, and change requests/non-conformances. 
  • Produce electrical design/program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, and change requests/non-conformances for assigned product lines. 
  • Support the Controls Team to increase output, standardization, and repeatability of designs and programs through developing and continuously improving engineering tools and work processes. 
  • Maintain at minimum a 30-day backlog of all assigned non-conformances. 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • AAS degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent
  • 2 - 5 year electrical system design experience
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming
  • Strong electrical aptitude
  • Independent and self-motivated, yet able to work in a process-centered team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel 30%

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley control systems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical schematics
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel
  • Experience with Agile PDM system
