Job Description

The Environmental Manager is responsible for environmental compliance for air, drinking water, effluent, solid waste and hazardous waste streams and systems of the Pine Bluff Mill. Implement projects and best management practices which will help the mill achieve compliance, The incumbent will demonstrate due diligence and environmental stewardship. The Environmental Manager reports to the EH&S Manager. 

Responsibilities Include
Oversee the compliance activities of to assure timely and effective completion of all Mill Environmental, health and safety activities, including company policy and laws, State and Federal regulations.

  • Serve as Mill contact for ADEQ and the EPA.
  • Have a strength in air compliance.
  • Strategic Planning for compliance on any capital or process improvement projects.
  • Leadership, including workforce engagement, diversity, employee and staff development and labor relations
  • Financial Management, including establishing and managing budgets and compliance with financial controls
  • Oversee timely completion of all monthly, quarterly and annual state and federal environmental reports.
  • Respond to all concerns, complaints, and queries from regulators, and audit findings.

Experience

Minimum of 5+ years Environmental Management experience in pulp and paper, chemical or petrochemical industry


Education
BS in; Science or Engineering Discipline, advanced degree in Science, Engineering. MS or MBA is a plus
