Job Description

Manage and lead the contract services management process for the Canton Mill and Waynesville Extruder facility. This position is responsible for overall oversight, development and execution of the contract services management and programs. This position reports into the Business Unit Manager of Maintenance, Engineering and Process Control.

 Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage all contract service agreements in mill for operations and maintenance.
  • Work closely with procurement to successfully work through the contracting and selection process.
  • Champion the process for identifying and securing the best value for contract services.
  • Provide consistency and standards for building work scopes and bidding jobs.
  • Build relationships with vendor partners.
  • Champion overall T-minus process and project scheduling for annual outage and 18 month goals
  • Facilitate contractor requirements for annual outages to include execution of PPA’s, while managing checkbook spending.
  • Identify and drive contract service standards of operation and execution.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • High level of technical knowledge regarding maintenance project management & execution practices, construction management and reliability.
  • 5 years’ experience in management supervision.
  • 8 years’ experience in maintenance/engineering.
  • Ability to drive efficient and effective contract services for annual outages.
  • Works well with teams and has the ability to influence people and processes through leadership skills.  
  • Experience in contract management.

 

Desired:

  • BA/BS degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • High potential for future job growth/promotions
