The Mill Controller is a leader across both the Evergreen finance organization and the Pine Bluff mill management team. This includes leading and supporting all aspects of facility operations, accounting and finance.
The responsibilities of the Mill Controller include:
Effectively communicate financial results to mill and corporate management.
Maintain strong internal controls, including compliance with company policies.
Effectively manage capital investment and fixed assets, including project financial support (return analysis), capital spend forecasting and ensuring proper administration of construction-in-progress, placed in service, depreciation and asset retirements.
Financial planning and analysis including analytics, budgeting, forecasting and strategic project support.
Oversee all mill finance and accounting functions, including:
Understand the standard cost accounting system and the linkages between the operations and the mill’s financial results and variances.
Raw material and energy input accounting to ensure proper receipt, inventory, consumption, variance explanations and forecasting.
Hourly payroll processing.
Mill-specific accounts payable processing.
Customer billing and invoice processing.
General accounting, including balance sheet account reconciliations, assurance of appropriate accruals and proper accounting treatment.
Tax management, including sales/use tax, incentive programs and property tax.
Financial management of working capital, including mill inventories.
Working closely with the corporate finance group to ensure corporate and external reporting requirements are met.
Oversee and continuously improve the month-end close and reporting processes.
