Job Description

The Sales & Operations Planning Manager is responsible for leading the planning process across the Evergreen Enterprise.  A key output of the process is the generation of a 24-month rolling plan. (Demand / Supply / Inventory)  This highly visible position is responsible for driving a consensus plan that meets customer and business needs.  The candidate will work collaboratively across all areas of the organization. (Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the global demand, supply, and inventory planning process across the business that directs production, inventories, and product mix
  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance the accuracy of the demand signal
  • Organize and facilitate appropriate S&OP meetings:  gatekeeper of action items and follow-ups
  • Work collaboratively with functional leadership to understand impacts of the plan and opportunities to enhance vision and value
  • Provide leadership developing business rules as well as oversight for master data setup and governance
  • Maintain and illuminate an effective KPI dashboard; highlighting variances and initiatives for improvement
  • Drive the execution of the supply chain between mills and downstream converting operations  (2 paper mills / 6 domestic converting facilities / 3 international locations)
  • Develop data driven inventory targets across each node of the supply chain to drive optimal inventory
  • Drive continuous improvement of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to identify effective techniques to deliver results

Qualifications

  • Leadership, communication, ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain processes and systems (S&OP, planning, inventory, logistics)
  • Project management and continuous improvement experience
  • Must be able to analyze large amounts of information, provide solutions, and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated change management experience
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills and the ability to develop and implement creative solutions
  • Ability to manage effectively through influence
  • High level of proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems as well as demand, supply, and inventory management systems

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain, or related field is required
  • Previous experience utilizing SAP or related ERP system is required
  • 10+ years of operations management, production planning, supply chain experience
  • Previous experience utilizing Demand Solutions DSX or related S&OP system highly preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
