Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing demand forecasting, equipment rationalization, replenishment forecasting, and finished goods inventory management to optimize plant and customer operational performance. Provide supply chain and replenishment leadership designed to satisfy all customer requirements.

  • Enforce all location safety and health rules and regulations and environmental standards
  • Demand forecasting for flexographic print business
  • Work with commercial teams and customers regarding forecasting accuracy, tracking, and replenishment impacts
  • Responsible for replenishment planning and communication to SSR’s and production planning at the facility
  • etermine appropriate safety stock minimum and target levels for all board grades, widths and SKU’s
  • Operations control support for business operations control team. Communicate directly with production planning and SSR’s regarding placement of business
  • Develop annual operating plan and capital spending plan with financial justifications
  • Maintain annual plant spending within approved plan levels
  • Manage Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse Operations for the Kalamazoo facility
  • Finished goods inventory assessment within the Kalamazoo facility. Rationalize with commercial strategic account and finished goods teams
  • Aggressively work with SSR’s to reduce inventory over 90 days old
  • Develop learning process for cross training on operations control and replenishment planning
  • Assist with quarterly inventory control audits
  • Provide products and services that consistently meet the mutually agreed upon specifications of both our internal and external customers
  • Ensure that all requirements of SQF Code 2000 are being administered and adhered to
  • Leading continuous quality improvement activities
  • Responsible for assuring that the products produced within the Kalamazoo facility are safe and comply with all applicable federal, state, and international laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Responsible for compliance with and adherence to all established good manufacturing practices, food safety plans and all applicable regulations and guidelines



  • Four-year technical degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Paper Science)
  • More than four total years of experience in Leadership roles within a manufacturing environment including
    Logistics or MRP experience, strong SAP user experience preferred
  • Computer literate in company systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced problem solving skills, experience with structured root cause analysis methods
  • Ability to motivate, train and delegate responsibility
  • Initiate and manage change, drive results through to successful completion
  • Competent in product legality, safety and quality
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Requirements
