Job Description

This position serves as a centralized Manager for the Fiber Procurement organizations at both Canton and Pine Bluff, and reports to the Wood Category Manager.  Areas of focus are Wood Certification Program Management, Internal Auditing, Management of External Auditors, Chain-of-Custody Assurance, Certified Wood Supply Chain Support, Financial and GIS Data Analysis, Sales and Marketing Integration, and Reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Forest Certification Program Management:

•             Management of Evergreen Forest Certification Program

•             Management of third party certified forest programs

Auditing:

•             Administering internal audits of Evergreen wood handling facilities

•             Managing third party audits for multiple forest certification standards

Chain-of-Custody Assurance:

•             Regulatory compliance, load tracking, logistics, and receiving

•             Certified wood credit database management

Certified Wood Supply Chain Support:

•             Integration with wood procurement supply chain management

•             Development of strategic procurement initiatives

Financial and GIS Data Analysis:

•             Spend control, forecasting, budgeting, and market analysis

•             Management of geographic information system used for compliance and strategic procurement

 

Sales and Marketing Integration:

•             Integration with marketing and sales team

•             Assist with development of strategic marketing and sales initiatives

Reporting and Training:

•             Compliance audit report generation

•             Annual training of Evergreen staff and wood producers

•             Certified credit account reporting

 

Qualifications

Education – Minimum BS in Forest Science or related field. Master’s degree preferred

Experience – 5 years in the forestry, wood products sustainability, or wood procurement

Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy

The ability to work independently without supervision, results-oriented, highly organized, with the ability to manage several tasks at the same time to meet demanding deadlines

The ability to travel up to 25%
