Job Description

We are looking for a key strategic team member who can help us utilize the extraordinary strengths of highly talented Evergreen Packaging associates who support our world-class customers, retailers and eco-conscious consumers.  The ideal candidate will be an excellent collaborator and have demonstrated strong financial capabilities needed to partner with Evergreen Packaging’s corporate leaders, team members and North American Operations.

This position has overall responsibility for the accuracy of the Company’s financial statements, serves as primary liaison with the Company’s parent company in order to satisfy month and quarterly reporting obligations and is a key partner to the business leaders in driving results.

Key areas of Responsibility include:

    • Responsible for the accuracy of financials, timeliness of close and subsequent reporting for the Evergreen business unit
    • Lead and develop Evergreen general corporate accounting team
    • Oversee treasury function including cash management, forecasting, and repatriation plans
    • Liaise with corporate financial reporting team to ensure timely and accurate compliance with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements
    • Prepare monthly reporting package for leadership team including variance analysis
    • Coordinate monthly forecast changes with key business leaders with responsibility for final submission in the forecasting software
    • Lead implementations of any new accounting standards
    • Lead internal balance sheet reviews with facilities driving consistency and standardization
    • External audit support, coordinate testing with IT and facilities
    • Responsible for the internal control structure, including design and development of controls and ensuring any identified weaknesses are remediated timely
    • Assist with development of internal controls structure compliant with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements.  Create alignment with other business units and corporate internal controls within the organization.
    • Provide accounting impact / guidance for any unusual transactions
    • Responsible for development of, and compliance with, policies and procedures
    • Lead continuous process assessments to identify opportunities to be more efficient, eliminate waste or redundancy
    • Analyze financial statements including P &L, balance sheet and working capital to identify opportunities to improve the business. 
    • Project management of identified finance initiatives
    • Budgeting and forecasting for SG&A expenses
    • Coordinate the month end closing process with facilities while streaming processes for a faster close

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university. 
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of management experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with major ERP, SAP experience a plus
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • CPA qualification preferred
